Privacy Policy

Tennis & Pickleball Now is built to be privacy first. We collect the minimum we need to help you find partners and courts, and we never sell or rent your personal information. We verify that players are real by their payment, not by harvesting personal data.

What we collect

Your name, email address, and the city you play in.
Optional profile details you choose to add, such as skill ratings, availability, a username, a photo, and links to public ranking profiles.
Match results you record and tournaments you join.
Who you are friends with, and anyone you have blocked.
Messages you send to other players. These are kept only until the end of the season, and then deleted.
Private notes you write about another player. Only you can read your own notes. Not the person they are about, and not other players.
If you allow it, your device’s approximate location, used to show courts near you. You can refuse, and the app will use the city on your profile instead.
If you turn on push notifications, an opaque notification registration token and routine technical details about the app and your device, used only to deliver those notifications.
For Brionic Reports analytics, the page path, external referrer, viewport width, user agent, and IP address. The raw IP address is not stored.
Basic technical data needed to keep the service secure and working, such as your session, your time zone so dates read correctly on your own clock, and your approximate region.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store phone numbers.
We do not store card numbers. Payments are processed by Square.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers.

How we use your information

To match you with players and courts near your level.
To run your membership and process payments through Square.
To send essential emails, such as your sign in code and account notices, through our email provider.
To deliver push notifications you have turned on.
To understand which pages are used and where visits arrive from.
To keep the platform safe and prevent abuse.

Payments and verification

Membership payments are handled by Square. We receive a confirmation and a reference, never your full card details. A paid membership is how we confirm a real person, so we do not need to collect extra identity documents or track you across the web.

Sharing with other players

Your profile (name, username, city, ratings, and photo if you add one) is visible to other members so they can find you. Your email is only revealed to another player when you both agree to play, and never shown publicly. You can make your profile private at any time in your settings.

A message you send can be read by the player you sent it to, and by us if either of you reports it. A private note you write about somebody is never shown to them or to anyone else.

Push notifications

If you turn on push notifications, Firebase, and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on Apple devices, receive an opaque notification registration token and routine technical details about the app and your device. They use this information only to deliver notifications.

Push notifications use generic text. They never include private message text, who sent a message, scores, your exact location, billing information, or sign in information.

Analytics

We use Brionic Reports to see which pages are used and where visits arrive from. Its tracker sends the page path, external referrer, viewport width, user agent, and IP address.

The reports backend stores the path, referrer host, browser, operating system, device class, coarse country and city, and a daily rotating hash made from the IP address and user agent. It does not store the raw IP address. The hash changes every day, so it cannot link visits across days.

Brionic Reports uses no cookies, serves no ads, and does not track you across sites.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. Brionic Reports does not set a cookie. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

Edit or remove your profile details at any time.
Make your profile private so it does not appear in search.
Close your account yourself, from Settings. Your profile is removed straight away and your personal details are deleted after 30 days.
Ask us anything about your data, including a copy of it, by emailing [email protected].

Closing your account

When you close your account we remove your name, photo, city, biography, contact address and any links to you elsewhere, and you are signed out everywhere. Matches you have already played remain, recorded against “Former player” rather than you, because the players you played kept those results as well.

We hold the details of a closed account for 30 days so we can deal with a billing dispute or a report of abuse, and then we delete them. Payment records we are legally required to retain are kept for as long as the law requires.

Children

Tennis & Pickleball Now is intended for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
