How a season runs

A season is two calendar months. The league takes the first 6 weeks and is always exactly 42 days, so one season's table means the same as another's. The rest of the block is when entries open for the next league, which is also the break between them.

You arrange your own matches inside the league window, with anyone else entered. There is no draw and nobody is knocked out.
